laminated glass

Laminated glass is manufactured by bonding two or more layers of glass together with layers of PVB, under heat and pressure, to create a single sheet of glass. Laminated glass is also called sandwich glass and safety glass. A typical laminated makeup would be 3 mm glass / 0.38 mm interlayer / 3 mm glass. This gives a final product that would be referred to as 6.38 laminated glass.

Features:
◆Safety: When broken, the PVB interlayer keeps the layers of glass bonded and prevents it from breaking apart.
◆Sound insulation: The interlayer can also give the glass a higher sound insulation rating.
◆Resistance to UV light: Laminated glass blocks 99% of incoming UV light.

Applications:
◆Laminated glass is normally used when there is a possibility of human impact or where the glass could fall if shattered.
◆Skylight glazing and automobile windshields typically use laminated glass.
◆In geographical areas requiring hurricane-resistant construction, laminated glass is often used in exterior storefronts, curtain walls and windows.
◆Used for doors, windows, sunshade, glass partition, decorative purposes, public areas, etc

Production capacity:
◆Multiple laminates and thicker glass increases the strength.
◆Regular thickness of PVB interlayer: 0.38mm, 0.76mm, 1.14mm, 1.52mm；
◆Specification： Max. size 2400×5000mm； Min. size 300×300mm
◆Regular thickness of glass：3mm—19mm
